Terms of Service

Welcome to CareLogger by UnityRoot Solutions Inc. ("UnityRoot", "we"). By installing or using the CareLogger mobile app, the carelogger.app website, or any related service (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. License to use the Service

  • We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial care coordination.
  • You may not modify, copy, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the Service, except as expressly allowed.
  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

2. Not medical advice

  • CareLogger is a coordination and recordkeeping tool. It is NOT a medical device, NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and NOT an emergency response service.
  • Vital-sign alerts and trend indicators are informational. Do not rely on them to make medical decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about a care receiver's medical condition.

3. Your account

  • Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens through your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • Accounts are personal and non-transferable. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for an extended period.

4. Your data and sharing

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter about a care receiver, and for having the appropriate authorization to record and share that information.
  • When you invite a family member or generate a shareable link, you authorize us to share the relevant care-receiver data with that recipient until you revoke access.
  • Your use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy at carelogger.app/privacy.

5. Restrictions

  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
  • Do not use the Service to harass, surveil, or harm another person; do not record someone's data without authorization.
  • Do not attempt to access another household's data, bypass access controls, or impersonate another user.

6. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms such as Apple, Google, LINE, AWS, and others. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, text, graphics, and trademarks, belongs to UnityRoot or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you, except for the limited license in section 1.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnityRoot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for personal injury or loss arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (which may be zero).

9. Termination

  • You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you is no longer feasible.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date of an update means you accept it.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The Taipei District Court is the court of first instance for any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service.

12. International use

You are responsible for compliance with local laws where you use the Service. If using the Service is unlawful in your jurisdiction, do not use it.

Effective date: May 22, 2026.
